A private course, delivered virtually or in person, led by an Autodesk Certified Instructor, covering the fundamental knowledge required to use AutoCAD Plant 3D for industrial plant design projects.
Description
AutoCAD Plant 3D | Essentials - Project Workflows for Designers is a comprehensive two-day private course led by a Certified Autodesk Instructor, designed for beginners looking to build a strong foundation in plant design workflows. This course can be delivered both virtually or in person, and is ideal for professionals who need to create and edit both P&ID schematic drawings and 3D plant models using AutoCAD Plant 3D’s tools and features.
Throughout the course, you will learn how to effectively manage project settings and create P&ID drawings, all while developing detailed 3D models. You will begin by setting up projects within the Plant 3D environment, utilising layers and colours to organise and streamline your designs for improved clarity and workflow. As the course progresses, you will work on adding equipment, piping, and instrumentation to your P&ID drawings, ensuring that all documentation aligns with project specifications and industry standards. Additionally, you will explore the generation of both 2D orthogonal and isometric drawings from your 3D models, ensuring accurate representation of plant layouts. The course also introduces foundational topics such as extracting reports from your drawings, creating essential P&ID symbols, and managing off-page connectors, all of which support collaboration between teams. These skills are designed to enhance your plant design processes, enabling you to execute projects more efficiently and effectively.
By the end of the course, you will have a solid understanding of 2D and 3D drafting concepts within AutoCAD Plant 3D. This essential knowledge will enable you to expand your skills and confidently approach more complex plant design challenges. You will also gain a good understanding of managing plant workflows, improving project outcomes and facilitating effective collaboration with teams across different stages of the project.
