Revit Architecture | Intermediate - Phasing and Worksharing for Project Efficiency
A private course, delivered virtually or in person, led by an Autodesk Certified Instructor, focusing on intermediate skills in using Revit Architecture for managing phasing and worksharing in renovation and multi-phase projects.
Description
Revit Architecture | Intermediate - Phasing and Worksharing for Project Efficiency is an intensive half-day private course, led by a Certified Autodesk Instructor, designed for proficient Revit users who are looking to enhance their skills in managing project phases and improving team collaboration. This course can be delivered either virtually or in person, and focuses on utilising Revit's phasing and worksharing tools to ensure efficient coordination and project delivery.
Throughout the course, you will explore how to configure and customise phase settings, apply phase filters, and implement graphical overrides to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy in your phased designs. You will gain hands-on experience managing elements across various project phases, such as using the Demolish Tool to address phase-specific changes and demolition tasks with precision and efficiency. You will also explore phase mapping techniques to coordinate linked files, ensuring smooth integration and consistency across all project stages. The course also covers essential worksharing strategies to enable multiple users to access and work in a single Revit model simultaneously, including the creation and management of central and local files, the organisation of worksets to streamline team contributions, and the synchronisation of changes to minimise conflicts and maintain up-to-date project data. This course introduces advanced coordination tools, such as the Copy/Monitor tool for aligning grids and levels in linked models, alongside best practices for managing backups, tracking file history, and safely detaching models from central files when needed. These comprehensive techniques will ensure your project files are secure, accessible, and efficiently structured to support reliable workflows, effective coordination, and enhanced collaboration across your project teams.
Upon completing the course, you will be able to confidently manage both phasing and worksharing workflows in Revit, ensuring smoother project delivery and effective coordination throughout all project stages. You will also gain valuable skills to improve project efficiency, enabling better collaboration across teams and ensuring a more organised and optimised workflow.
Learning Outcomes
During this course, you will explore the following topics:
- Module 1 – Phasing Tools | Phase Settings & Filters: Learn how to configure and customise phase settings tailored to the specific needs of your project. You will explore the use of phase filters and apply overrides to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in your documentation. This module will also guide you through managing settings across different phases and applying visual overrides to clearly communicate phase requirements for project documentation.
- Module 2 – Managing Elements in Phases | Demolish Tool | Phase Mapping: Learn how to manage elements effectively across various project phases, utilising the Demolish Tool to handle phase-specific changes with precision and efficiency. You will also explore phase mapping techniques to ensure smooth coordination when working with linked files, helping to streamline team collaboration and maintain consistency throughout all project stages.
- Module 3 – Central Files | Worksets | Local Files: Discover how to create and manage central and local files for collaborative work. You will learn how to organise worksets effectively, ensuring that team members can work simultaneously without conflicts, and how to synchronise changes across all users to keep your project up to date. This module provides best practices for maintaining efficient worksharing, ensuring your project files remain well-organised, accessible, and properly structured to support smooth teamwork.
- Module 4 – Copy/Monitor | Detach | Backups | File History: Explore how to effectively use the Copy/Monitor tool to coordinate grids and levels across linked models, ensuring consistency and accuracy within your project. You will learn how to manage worksharing backups, view and track file history, and safely detach models from the central file when necessary. This module ensures your project files are properly maintained, easily accessible, and safeguarded throughout the entire project lifecycle, helping to prevent data loss and maintain workflow continuity.
Courseware
Before the course, you will receive a Course Pack containing training notes and/or files that need to be downloaded prior to joining the training.
Certification
ARKANCE, an Authorized Autodesk Training Center, delivers high-quality training for Autodesk software users. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an official ARKANCE Certificate of Completion, demonstrating their commitment to ongoing professional development.
